i would've enjoy this movie had it been shot by a different director. but this film, coming from Guillermo del Toro, who i truly respect for his previous critically acclaimed Pan's labyrinth.. shows that even the best of director is not shielded from making crappy film once in a while. maybe i have exceptional expectation and paying rm 12 to watch a charade of monsters battling it out, proving that mankind is the unworthy ruler of the planet earth is just cliche. nothing new is brought out to the table. i give it a 7/10 only because of the monsters.Sunday, July 20, 2008
