would you cross the line if you were paid to do so? interesting isn't it, how money can tempt us to do things normally we avoid, making us pushing boundaries and lowering standards in return for the big bucks. and I'm not talking about compromising our belief or doing anything with severe consequences, but instead just the little things that may interfere with the principles that we hold on to all this while. given the right figure, how far would i go?

this is by far my favourite Merdeka commercial. i think it was shot somewhere in 98 and was aired again a few years back. the underlying message is clear cut, delivered in a very cynical way. why not a malaysian brand? 51 years post independece... it's time to start beliving in ourselves. malaysia boleh!!

and having said that, just would like to wish all the Malaysian a very happy Merdeka. now, entering the 51th year of Merdeka, let us all strive for a better nation, change what is needed to be changed, revamp back the system that would benefit us all. speak now or be silence forever. this is after all a democracy.

miss fazura

recently, i had a chat with a friend in which somehow, i mentioned about how i think fazura is such a stunner. and in all honesty, i was hoping for a favourable feedback, seeking approval for what i believe is undeniably true. but he disagree and briefly said that what's the point of having an angelic face if the behaviour is not as good. and i thought, maybe he is right in the sense that there are people who look underneath the surface and appreciate a good heart more than anything. but in reality, as true as it is, i must say and i'm not speaking for everybody here, but i still dig faz no matter what. (putting on my team faz hat)

the ugly, the bold & the beautiful

is it true, that a butt ugly person tend to offer better companionship compared to the modern day Adonis ? beauty as what all of us would agree upon, is a very subjective matter and it's definition is to each own. from past encounters, i must admit that I've also seen a lot of strikingly attractive girls become involved with ugly and filthy guys (and vice versa). is it a trend that is started following repeated frustrations with the superficiality & lack of depth of the their stunning exes? or is the self obsessed, narcissistic ways proved to much of an emotional burden to bare? or maybe the cliche saying of "opposite attracts" is a curse that is meant to unite and bring balance to this imperfect world.

some may argue that beauty is only skin deep. what matters more is the inner qualities and by allowing the personality to shine through, one can easily win the heart of their partners. still, could this just represent a consolation statement made by the ugly for the ugly so that they feel less inferior since they too deserve the equal right to fight for the heart of a better half? i don't know. i don't have an opinion about this. but something to ponder upon... how come the fellas in general always hunt for the best chicken while the girls is more willing to settle for a mediocre partner? ironic isn't it? or is it just a nature that all of us come to abide to....

hyundai sonata

I think for this model (updated 3rd generation), the design is sophisticated, sleek and boost the appeal much similar to the Mercedes Benz E series. for a 2nd hand car (year 02-03), you can get around rm 35k ++ which i think is perfectly acceptable. but for now, without any stable income to cash in those pretty machines, i can only dream on. or should i settle for a lesser value car, Satria GTI maybe?

the most overlooked member of the destiny trio has now proved that she can go mainstream. if the previous albums highlight the gospel theme, the third solo release adds up more radio friendly tunes, using music similar to the one that timbaland produced (if u get what i mean). but all in all, i must say that this album is a killer. plenty of songs are potential single material. i guess, finally michelle showed us that the table has turned and it is her time to shine. so, beyonce & kelly please step aside and make room for your unexposed sister.

the undeniably talented chap finally prove that the Malaysian team can deliver a world class performance in the most crucial sport event. tonight he will battle it out with a chinese opponent Lin Dan who at the moment is the current top ranked player. although a silver medal is already in the bag, i truly hope that a gold medal can be brought home. this is probably the only sport category that malaysia can boast about in the olympics since squash & bowling is not contested. provided that he wins, a rm 1 million reward awaits him. for honour, for fame and for glory, let us all pray for the best.

the donut attack

if u haven't notice, starting late last year, klang valley (and some other places) have been bombarded with the donut franchises with the two most prominent being the JCo donut and not far away the Big Apple. on seperacte occasions, i have tasted both donuts but yesterday, we went to bukit bintang and bought both JCo and Big Apple donuts and tasted them together. what we do agree is that both of the franchises are way better than the Dunkin Donuts that we're used to. but side by side, i must say that JCo taste slightly better. but for now, let up hope that another big name in the donut industry, the krispy kreme will invade malaysia soon and give other franchises a run of their money.

karaoke

i think we practically blew up the roof with our untrained, unpolished, out of tune voices. but nonetheless we had a remarkably great time together. among the song choices picked that night were ketahuan, cinta, unfaithfull, mahakarya cinta, itu kamu and some dangdut songs! hahah. seriously , i never thought karaoke could be this fun! and mind you, we booked 3 hours midnight solid and we still haven't finished singing by the last minute!

a new passion

i think i have develop a new interest. if last year, it was all about mobile phones, actively following any new launching of mobile devices but now, i am more keen to take notice on computers and its components and accessories. i can spend hours just reading reviews or making comparisons between notebooks, PCs, justifying between the specifications given and the hefty price that comes with it. so, maybe somewhere down the line, i'll share some of my 2 cents on any random notebooks that caught my attention.

i'm no stranger when it comes to the secret angels. yeah, neither have i purchase any of their products nor paid attention to their aggressive campaigns but one thing that i did carefully keep track on is the ultimate eye candy a.k.a the victoria secret angels. now, they are gracing the cover of GQ Uk, confidently flaunting their assets, showing how truly sexy the angels are. so, bitches everywhere, forgive me for saying this but please don't hate them cause they're beautiful!

about going back

i will be leaving Malaysia in about 19 days ( u do the math!). gonna miss my family. my clans that i've been hanging out every now n then and of course, some special people that i've just met. but i have no problem going back to cork. it's my obligation and i honour that.

the dark knight

after watching this movie 2 times, i can happily conclude that this is by far one of the best movie i've throughout the year and is now my favourite superhero movie.

what i like most about the dark knight is the metaphors that are circulated within each lines uttered by the excellent cast members. i simply adore the depth of story portrayed and the unexpected twist that comes with it.

as mr Harvey Dent put it,"you either die a hero or live longer to be the villain"

the mummy 3: tomb of the dragon emperor

The movie doesn't seem to do any justice to it's prequels. not that the earlier franchises are exceptionally great films but this one, unfortunately is just plain silly. and the fact that i had to wait until 1.30 a.m on a Saturday night isn't helping at all. the absence of Rachel Weisz for the third installment of the mummy series is a curiosity at first but after watching the film, i think i know now that her reason is perfectly understandable. word is that she doesn't approve of the script that is given to her (clever choice there). but despite all this negativity throw in, i have to admit that there are moments that is notoriously humorous such as when Jonathan uttered this line. "my ass is on fire, spank my ass!!". and i laughed hysterically for a good 30 seconds or so.
